• The Glaciers National Park:
  This National Park created in 1937, was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981. This park is one of the largest in Argentina and its name refers to the giant ice cap in the Andes range that feeds 47 large glaciers. This ice cap is the largest outside of Antarctica and Greenland.
• The Argentino Lake:
  Argentino Lake is the largest lake in Argentina and the third in size in South America with a total surface of 1,560 km² (602 sq miles). The especial color of the water is due to a very fine powder produced by glacier abrasion, called “glacier milk”.

Description:

Today, you will leave in the morning to visit the renowned Perito Moreno glacier, unique on the planet in its constant forward movement. Along the 85 km (53 mi) that you will drive to get to the park, you will discover many Andean pre-cordillera sites that are worth sight seen or recording on camera and by the Argentino Lake you will access the National Park “Los Glaciares”. Along Brazo Rico River you will start to spot the floating icebergs until you finally are able to grasp in all its awe this natural wonder considered World Heritage by the United Nations. You will take the paths and enjoy some time to observe and to have lunch. Then, in the afternoon you will go back to the hotel.

1 hour long – Nautical Safari on the Argentino Lake

The tour consists in a sailing along Rico Lake which will give you spectacular views of the icebergs scenery which come from the ice walls of Perito Moreno Glacier. Upon arrival to the southern point of “Canal de los Témpanos” (The Ice Floes Channel), the vessel will sail at a prudential distance of the Glacier wall, following it in all its length allowing you to sight-see the magnificent slides of huge ice portions of the glacier which make the whole tour an unforgettable experience for the rest of your life. The boarding of the ship is at the port located nearby in “Bajo de las Sombras” bay, some 6 km away from the Glacier Viewpoint.
