• Route of the Seven Lakes Route:
  The route covers more than seventy miles, running from San Martin de los Andes all the way to Villa la Angostura. This tour can be done on mountain bike for the more adventurous, or by car or bus. Some of the most amazing places that this route passes through include Rio Hermoso, Lagos Machonico, Hermoso, Villarino, Oichi Traful, Espejo Chico, Espejo Grande and Correntoso, not to mention the beautiful waterfall known as Cascada Vullignanco.
• San Martin de los Andes Historical town:
  The downtown area of San Martin de los Andes is a beautiful attraction in and of itself, due to its cozy architecture reminiscent of the style of Europe’s Swiss Alps. The majority of the historic buildings in downtown hold great architectural value, ideal for admiring during a walk around town.
• Lakar Lake:
  Situated at the end of the main street in San Martin de los Andes, in the southeast part of town, the glacial Lacar Lake is a main attraction for visitors to this picturesque destination.

Description:

The tour departs from Bariloche along the National Route No. 40 northwards; you will go 21 km (13 mi) across the Huemul Peninsula and pass by the Manzano Pier so as to arrive at Villa La Angostura town. From here, you will take the “Seven Lakes” Road towards San Martin de los Andes. In some parts, the road is winding, in others it goes across the deep forests of “cohiues” trees.

You will go alongside the Correntoso Lake and will cross over the river carrying the same name before getting to a small town, named Ruca Malen. After passing by the Portezuelo, you will border Villarino, Falkner, Hermoso and Meliquinia Lakes before arriving in San Martin de los Andes, located on the shores of the Lacar Lake. After visiting the town, you will return to Bariloche along National Road No. 237 in the afternoon.
