Additional Information
Isla Victoria, Los Lagos Department, Neuquen, Argentina
U$ 100,00
The tour departs from Bariloche towards Puerto Paรฑuelo, about 25 km (15.5 mi) away from the city.
Once there, you will get on the vessel, either โModesta Victoriaโ or โCau-Cauโ so as to sail towards the Victoria Island. You will get off the vessel to walk along the different paths on the island.
Then, you will continue sailing towards the Arrayanes Forest so as to appreciate this one-of-the kind park with centennial trees. The aim of this park is to protect its forests full of rare โarrayanโ trees (Luma Apiculata), the soil and the roots of these fragile trees. For this reason there is a trail for tourists to enjoy the view of the cinnamon-coloured trees without harming them. This path, full of ups and downs, is also popularly done by mountain bike.
Even though โarrayanโ trees can be seen on the way to the end of the peninsula, the forest of 300 year old arrayanes covers 20 ha (50 acres) of the southern regions, with specimen of over 600 years. The sailing will finish in Paรฑuelos Pier.
