• Nahuel Huapi Lake:
  Its intense blue color, its islands and the surrounding landscape make it one of the most attractive places in Patagonia. Different beaches are found across its shores, where you can perform a number of activities.
• Los Arrayanes National Park:
  Los Arrayanes National Park is a national park of Argentina created in 1971 on the Quetrihué Peninsula, on the shore of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. The aim of this park is to protect its forests full of rare “arrayán” trees (Luma apiculata), the soil and the roots of these fragile trees. For this reason, a path has been made for tourists to enjoy the view of the cinnamon-coloured trees. This path, full of ups and downs, is also popularly done by mountain bike.

Description:

The tour departs from Bariloche towards Puerto Pañuelo, about 25 km (15.5 mi) away from the city.

Once there, you will get on the vessel, either “Modesta Victoria” or “Cau-Cau” so as to sail towards the Victoria Island. You will get off the vessel to walk along the different paths on the island.

Then, you will continue sailing towards the Arrayanes Forest so as to appreciate this one-of-the kind park with centennial trees. The aim of this park is to protect its forests full of rare “arrayan” trees (Luma Apiculata), the soil and the roots of these fragile trees. For this reason there is a trail for tourists to enjoy the view of the cinnamon-coloured trees without harming them. This path, full of ups and downs, is also popularly done by mountain bike.

Even though “arrayan” trees can be seen on the way to the end of the peninsula, the forest of 300 year old arrayanes covers 20 ha (50 acres) of the southern regions, with specimen of over 600 years. The sailing will finish in Pañuelos Pier.
